History

Minnesota First was established in 1956 as Minnesota Loan and Thrift Company with an office opened in Rochester. In 1972 an office was opened in Winona, in 1973 an office was opened in Owatonna and in 1982 an office was opened in Red Wing. In 1986 Minnesota Loan and Thrift Company became a member of the FDIC. In 1993 Minnesota Loan and Thrift Company changed its name to Minnesota First Credit and Savings, Inc.

Today, Minnesota First services southeastern Minnesota with its 3 convenient locations in Rochester, Owatonna and Red Wing. Minnesota First offers mortgages and personal loans along with competitive CD and savings account rates.
